Products in the Evolve Plus range are suitable for use on normal healthy skin as well as compromised skin.

Eczema

The word ‘eczema’ is derived from the Greek meaning “to boil over” or to ”break out.” It is synonymous with dermatitis (i.e. inflammation of the epidermis, the outer layer of the skin). The term “eczema” is used to describe a wide range of persistent skin conditions – there are many different type of eczema, for example, atopic eczema.

Eczema can present itself in the form of dryness and recurring skin rashes, which are characterized by one or more of the following symptoms: redness, skin oedema (swelling), itching and dryness, crusting, flaking, blistering, cracking, oozing, or bleeding.

Evolve emollients are available in soothing, cooling spray forms as these provide instant relief from the hot, itchy feelings often associated with many skin conditions and help break the often troublesome pain and itch-scratch cycles.

See National Eczema Society website for further details.

Psoriasis

The word ‘psoriasis’ is derived from the Greek meaning “itch.” Psoriasis is a chronic, non-contagious autoimmune disease which affects the skin and joints. Psoriasis commonly causes red scaly patches to appear on the skin called psoriatic plaques, which are areas of inflammation and excessive skin production.

Evolve Plus can be used to alleviate the dryness, scaliness and itch often associated with psoriasis.

Sunburn

Is caused by overexposure to sunlight or ultra-violet light. It may treated by the application of the cooling Evolve Plus spray.
